How will my fat dissolving appointment go?

Our fat dissolving appointments take our time to ensure you feel comfortable, and that you understand how the treatment works. Here’s what’s involved?

1. Free consultation

Adele, our Head Practitioner, has done countless fat dissolving treatments over the years. In this initial consultation, she’ll look at your anatomy, chat about what your ideal goals are, and the techniques she would used based on a combination of the above.

2. Consultation form

Our required health questionnaire and form will be sent out to you in advance of your appointment, which you can fill in electronically. As part of the initial consultation, Adele will go through this and confirm if there are any areas she should be aware of, as well as discussing if you’ve followed the pre-care routines.

3. Aqualyx Treatment

From here, Adele will begin treatment. She uses a wide range of techniques based on her level of experience and education in the industry, as well as being guided by your facial anatomy and dream results. This part should take about 20 minutes or so.

Does getting fat dissolving injections hurt?

As with any injections, you may get a little stingy/pinchy (but bearable) feeling, although this varies from person to person and depends on the area being treated.

You may feel a burning or warm sensation during and shortly after the injections, along with some tenderness as the area begins to swell. A local anaesthetic may be used to help make the treatment more comfortable, and any discomfort is usually temporary and settles as the area recovers.

How do I know what size area I need?

The size of your Aqualyx treatment area depends on the amount and location of stubborn fat you would like to target, rather than your overall body size. Smaller areas may include a small, localised pocket of fat, while areas such as the abdomen, thighs or flanks may fall into our medium or large treatment categories depending on the area being treated and the amount of product required. You don’t need to decide this yourself — during your consultation, your practitioner will assess the area and confirm the most appropriate treatment size and price before going ahead.
