TrapTox is a targeted botulinum toxin treatment designed to relax overactive trapezius muscles across the upper back, neck and shoulders.
As the muscles gradually relax, TrapTox can create a smoother, more elongated appearance through the neck and shoulder line while also helping to reduce muscular tightness in suitable clients.
(Please note; this is a prescription-only medication, like botox, meaning we can’t display before-and-after results legally as per POM marketing guidelines).

How do traptox appointments work?
Traptox injections are prescription only medications, so the process varies slightly to ensure that all guidelines are met, and to ensure it’s the best treatment plan for you.
Adele, our Head Practitioner, has done countless traptox injections over the years. In this consultation, she’ll look at your facial anatomy, chat about what your goals are, and the techniques she would used based on a combination of the above.
Our required health questionnaire form is sent out before your appointment electronically. Adele will go through this and confirm if there are any areas she should be aware of, and you’ll also meet our prescriber who will then issue the product (which Adele will have ready for you ahead of your appt).
From here, Adele will begin treatment. Her technique is based on her level of experience and education in the industry, as well as being guided by your facial anatomy and targeted results. This part should take about 20 minutes or so.

Everyone has a different pain tolerance, but in general, no anti-wrinkle injections do not hurt.
You’ll feel a slight pinch (it is injections, after all!), but not enough for you jump or have any ongoing pain after the anti-wrinkle injections is finished.
TrapTox usually involves minimal downtime, and most clients can return to their normal daily activities shortly after treatment. You may experience temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or mild bruising around the injection sites, which typically settles within a few hours to a few days.
For the first few hours, you’ll usually be advised to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, strenuous exercise, excessive heat and lying flat immediately after treatment. As the trapezius is a larger muscle group, some clients may also notice temporary heaviness, weakness or muscle fatigue as the treatment begins to take effect. Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare advice following your appointment.
Traptox injections are known as a POM, which is short for prescription only medication.
It’s has a powerful active ingredient, and as such, a prescriber must give the sign off to allow its use. This is why you see a prescriber as part of the process!
