As a Lip Flip is a POM (prescription-only medicine), you’ll meet our prescriber in clinic to confirm medical consultation details, as treatment is subject to clinical suitability determined during your face-to-face consultation.

How do Lip Flip appointments work?
Lip Flips are prescription only medications, so the process varies slightly to ensure that all guidelines are met, and to ensure it’s the best treatment plan for you.
Adele, our Head Practitioner, has done countless lip flips over the years. In this consultation, she’ll look at your facial anatomy, chat about what your goals are, and the techniques she would used based on a combination of the above.
Our required health questionnaire form is sent out before your appointment electronically. Adele will go through this and confirm if there are any areas she should be aware of, and you’ll also meet our prescriber who will then issue the product (which Adele will have ready for you ahead of your appt).
From here, Adele will begin treatment. Her technique is based on her level of experience and education in the industry, as well as being guided by your facial anatomy and targeted results. This part should take about 20 minutes or so.

A Lip Flip works by placing a small amount of botulinum toxin into specific muscles around the upper lip, most commonly the orbicularis oris. By gently reducing the pull of these muscles, the upper lip can roll slightly outward, allowing more of the pink lip to remain visible when the face is relaxed or smiling.
Unlike dermal filler, a Lip Flip does not add volume to the lips. Instead, it subtly changes the way the upper lip sits and moves, which can create the appearance of a fuller, more defined lip while keeping the result soft and natural. Effects develop gradually over the following days and are tailored to your individual anatomy and desired outcome.
A Lip Flip usually involves minimal to no downtime, and most people can return to their normal daily activities straight after treatment. You may notice slight redness, tenderness, swelling or minor bruising around the injection points, but these effects are usually temporary and settle quickly.
Because the treatment relaxes muscles around the mouth, some people can temporarily notice a slight change in how the upper lip moves, such as when drinking through a straw, pronouncing certain sounds or pursing the lips. These effects are generally mild and improve as the treatment settles. Your practitioner will provide full aftercare guidance following your appointment.
