TrapTox is a targeted botulinum toxin treatment designed to relax overactive trapezius muscles across the upper back, neck and shoulders.
As the muscles gradually relax, TrapTox can create a smoother, more elongated appearance through the neck and shoulder line while also helping to reduce muscular tightness in suitable clients.
(Please note; this is a prescription-only medication, like botox, meaning we can’t display before-and-after results legally as per POM marketing guidelines).

What's included in my Traptox Appointment in Liverpool?
As Traptox is a POM (prescription-only medication), the process and inclusions are slightly different, to adhere to all clinical and medical guidelines.
- Free Consultation - A consultation always needs to be carried out first to ensure that you're suitable for the treatment, that it's the correct course of action for your concern, and that there are no medical issues that may impede treatment.
- 2. Prescription - You'll meet with our prescriber, who will re-confirm your consultation facts, and should you be suitable for treatment, will issue a prescription for the team to collect (all included in the price).
- 3. Masseter Botox Treatment - Your treatment will be carried out by Adele, who is a registered nurse and who holds a L7 Masters in Clinical Injectables, meaning there's no-one better to get treatment from.
- 4. Follow Up - Adele will arrange a follow up with you to see how things are going and to ensure you've got the results you want.

You can find the full inclusions and process slightly higher up on this page, but it includes a free consultation, meeting with the prescriber, the product prescription, the treatment, and a follow up process with our registered nurse Adele.
TrapTox usually involves minimal downtime, and most clients can return to their normal daily activities shortly after treatment. You may experience temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or mild bruising around the injection sites, which typically settles within a few hours to a few days.
For the first few hours, you’ll usually be advised to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, strenuous exercise, excessive heat and lying flat immediately after treatment. As the trapezius is a larger muscle group, some clients may also notice temporary heaviness, weakness or muscle fatigue as the treatment begins to take effect. Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare advice following your appointment.
We require every single client to fill in a consultation form for any treatment we offer. This is to ensure you are suitable for that specific treatment and for us to understand you better.
We send you a link to complete your consultation form digitally ahead of your booking, or you can complete it on our iPad in clinic with us.
