What's included in my Deep Tissue Massage in Liverpool?

Our Deep Tissue Massage in Liverpool targets the areas that need the most attention, using a combination of techniques specifically chosen to aid muscle recovery and restore comfort:

  • 1.Initial Assessment - We begin by talking through where you're holding tension, any areas of discomfort, and what your body has been through recently — so we can focus the treatment exactly where it's needed most.

  • 2.Deep Tissue Work - Firm, targeted pressure works into the deeper layers of muscle tissue to break down adhesions, release chronic tightness, and address the kind of tension that sits too deep for a standard massage to reach.
  • 3.Back & Shoulders - A key focus area for most clients - we work thoroughly through the back and shoulders to release postural tension, training tightness, and the general strain of daily life.

  • 4.Legs & Glutes - For anyone who trains, runs, or spends a lot of time on their feet, this is where the real work happens. Deep, focused massage through the legs and glutes to ease soreness, improve mobility, and speed up recovery.
  • 5.Arms & Forearms - Often overlooked in recovery, the arms and forearms carry significant tension - particularly for those who lift, type, or do any kind of repetitive movement. We give these areas proper attention.

  • 6. Stretching & Mobilisation - Where beneficial, we incorporate gentle assisted stretching to improve range of motion and help the muscles return to their natural length after periods of tightness or overuse.

"Today I had the most amazing experience at PYC and wellness 57 with the lovely Erin. She started with a lovely Swedish massage then she moved on to a hydroglow facial and to finish I had an Indian head massage. From start to finish I was fully relaxed and enjoyed every min. Erin talked me through all the treatments on what to expect and the do’s and don’t afterwards. Would highly recommend any of the treatments. Thank you again Erin ❤️❤️"

Our Deep Tissue Massage is a full 60 minute targeted treatment focused on deep tissue work, muscle release, and restoration across the whole body.

We begin with a brief assessment to understand where you need the most attention, then work through the back, shoulders, legs, glutes, and arms using firm, purposeful techniques, including deep tissue massage and assisted stretching where beneficial.

It’s a more therapeutic treatment than a relaxation massage, designed to deliver real, lasting results.

Most clients feel significantly better immediately after the treatment, though it’s normal to experience some mild muscle soreness for 24–48 hours afterwards, particularly if we’ve worked deeply into areas of chronic tension.

This is a completely normal part of the recovery process and settles quickly. We’d always recommend drinking plenty of water after your session and avoiding intense training for the rest of the day.

We require every single client to fill in a consultation form for any treatment we offer. This is to ensure you are suitable for that specific treatment and for us to understand you better.

We send you a link to complete your consultation form digitally ahead of your booking, or you can complete it on our iPad in clinic with us.

It’s suitable for most people, but because this is a deeper, more therapeutic treatment there are some contraindications to be aware of, including certain injuries, inflammatory conditions, or recent surgeries.

If you have any concerns about whether a Deep Tissue Massage is right for you, please drop us a message before booking and we’ll be happy to talk it through. We’d always rather have that conversation upfront than have you come in unsure.
