Additional costs
To own a website only, there are a couple of extra costs everyone has to pay to the hosting provider (the people who keep your website live).
Monthly Hosting Fee
To keep your website online, and to use a particular platform (like Squarespace), you have to pay a monthly fee directly to the hosting provider. It’s about £15-£20 per month.
Domain Renewal Fee
Once a year, you’ll have to pay to renew your website domain (URL). This means it stays yours and live. This is about £20 a year.
